Popcorn Hat Players ON TOUR!
All shows performed by Popcorn Hat Players run from 30-45 minutes in length, and are appropriate for preschool ages up to 6th grade. They are also great family shows, because parents and older brothers and sisters love the shows as much as the youngsters do!
Gamut Theatre is Central PA’s only professional classical theatre and has been entertaining audiences throughout the Susquehanna Valley since 1993. Gamut performs a full season of mainstage plays at Gamut Classic Theatre, located on the 3rd floor of Strawberry Square in downtown Harrisburg, and produces the wildly popular “Free Shakespeare in the Park” each June in Reservoir Park, Harrisburg. Created by the husband-and-wife team of Clark and Melissa Nicholson, this innovative and energetic troupe consists of seven full-time core company members and tours throughout the eastern United States from Connecticut through South Carolina, performing quality productions, teaching companion workshops, and conducting educational residencies reaching over 30,000 people each year. In addition to the year-round core company, Gamut highlights the talents of many other professional actors and artists through the production of its mainstage plays.
Gamut Theatre’s goal is to present quality, professional theatrical productions of the plays of William Shakespeare and other thematically classic works for the cultural enrichment of Pennsylvania’s Capital Region and beyond. Our pledge is to produce innovative, accessible theatre and to provide a community outreach program that educates, entertains and inspires.

Rapunzel!
This show is a modern adaptation of the classic fairy tale. Will the Witch keep Rapunzel forever? How will the Price rescue Rapunzel from the tower? The children from the audience use their own creativity to help tell this story and to make sure that everyone lives “happily ever after”!
Rollicking Ripsnorters: American Tall Tales
Join us for a little “down home” laughter as we look back in history to a time when the tales were as big as the American imagination! This show features the tales of Pecos Bill, Slue-Foot Sue, John Henry and Paul Bunyan and uses many volunteers from t he audience to help tell these tall tales from our American heritage.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Join Popcorn Hat Players as they usher in the holiday season with this yuletide tale. Help Tinker the Elf and a crazy cast of characters help Santa find his lost bag of toys. Start the season off with PHP and make the season merry.
Bible Stories!
Bring the stories of the Bible to life with “David and Goliath”, “The Prodigal Son”, “The Good Samaritan” and a continuing story of “Noah and the Ark”. Children from the audience participate in this humorous show, and they even get to pick the ending of one of the stories!
