This is the national nightmare that engulfs all nations that are subjected to assassinations as a means of political and social change. No matter the noble intentions of the assassins, they are sullied and ultimately undone by the stain of murder.

This was HSF's first indoor production as we partnered with the Historic Harrisburg Resource Center and mounted Caesar in their beautiful Third Street location. HHRC headquarters is in an old bank, and we thought it had the perfect feel for our contemporary interpretation. Designer Lynne Porter made dynamic use of the space, elevating the audience and the Roman Senators and leaders many feet above floor level, while setting the plebeians and commoner characters on the ground. As the action of the play progressed, the commoners clawed their way up to the high levels, ultimately hurling their vanquished leaders to the ground.
