King John is the story of the fall of a leader, a disintegration of a great family power, and an evil that springs from unchecked frustration. "Bad Old King John" is the embodiment of self-devouring jealousy. King John is also the story of the perseverance of a nation through the turmoil of political upheaval.

The design of the production portrayed the fracture and disintegration of the great kingdom built by the much-beloved Richard the Lionheart. The Plantagenet empire falls apart in the incapable hands of the notorious younger son, John. The show featured spectacular battles and sword & quarterstaff fights, choreographed by Dan Burke, that were staged all around the audience.
